A Secret Name

A SECRET NAME WHICH NO MAN KNOWS

The white stone of Revelation comes with a promise. A new name written on it. No one will know the name other then the one who receives it.

In the ancient world a white stone indicated innocence. A person tried for a crime would be acquitted and freed from condemnation. Also, in the ancient world the white stone was used as admission to the feast.

The white stone represents grace and reflects the sufferings that have been endured and overcome. It is the ultimate symbol of victory and transformation. It is the admission to the marriage supper of the Lamb.

A secret name is given, only known between God and his child. On the stone is written that secret name. Perhaps written in invisible ink that is only seen by God and the receiver of the gift.

A secret name.

In that day "when the morning stars sang together, and the angels sang for joy," he knew our name.

That name represents what we are becoming and the person He created. When our brokenness would be whole.

There are no fatherless children in eternity.

"What can be more a man's own than this new name which even in eternity remains a secret between God and him? And what shall we take this secrecy to mean? Surely, that each redeemed shall praise some one of the aspects of the divine beauty better than any other creature can. Why else were individuals created but that God should love each differently.

If all experienced God in the same way and returned to him an identical worship the song of the Church triumphant would have no symphony, it would be like an orchestra in which all the instruments played the same note." ……….C.S. Lewis

"I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name." ...Isaiah 45:3

"Why else were individuals created but that God should love each differently." I really like that!
