THE HEART HAS ITS REASONS

WE FEEL IT IN A THOUSAND THINGS

IT IS THE HEART THAT FEELS GOD

AND NOT REASON

THIS, THEN IS PERFECT FAITH

GOD FELT IN THE HEART

/Blaise Pascal

"The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen

those whose hearts are fully committed to Him"

/2 Chronicles 16:9

I have more questions than answers

I am just the storyteller

The source of King David

Heir to his throne

Our Messiah King

Comes to claim His own

When the night is coldest

When the night is dark

Christ the Morning Star

Will reign and not depart

On that future day

We will see Him in the sky

He has come to take us home

We are his Bride

Living until then

We must not depart

Christ the Morning Star

Reigns within our hearts

The Star will appear

At the break of dawn

This is the Light

Of Jesus Christ the Son

When the world is cold

And everything is dark

Christ the Morning Star

Still shines within our hearts

"For we were not making up clever stories

when we told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We saw his majestic splendor with our own eyes

when we received honor and glory from God the Father.

The voice from the majestic glory of God said to him

"This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy."

We ourselves heard that voice from heaven

when we were with him on the holy mountain.

"Because of that experience,

we have even greater confidence

in the message proclaimed by the prophets .

You must pay close attention to what they wrote,

For their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place

Until the day dawns

And Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts.

2 Peter 1: 16, 19

I have a secret place

Where only Jesus sees

In this secret place

Is where He visits me

A long time ago

When I was just a wee child

I invited him to come

With me inside

In my heart He stays

He does not depart

Christ the Morning Star

Shines within my heart! /j.smith/2021
